ISO 9001:2008 Updates

Changes required to move from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008

ISO 9001:2008 is now with us and everyone wishing to retain their ISO 9001 Certification needs to update to this Standard.

 

The good news is the powers that be have not really made any changes! There are two major differences;

  1. Any relevant training undertaken should be reviewed to see if it was effective
  2. Corrective and Preventive Actions should be reviewed to determine if the action(s) taken were effective.

 

There are a number of ways to align your system to the new standard, the simplest will be to cover these requirements during you Management Review Meeting(s).

 

These are the major changes, I am not sure why the latest update to this standard was two years late since they are minimal but there you go.
